Ever wish there was an opportunity to interact with other leaders on campus? Want to develop your student organization? If you do, then you are in luck! In coordination with Campus Life, Student Government is hosting an exciting new event called SURGE. Student leaders, including myself have come together to develop a one-day retreat for executive officers of student organizations.

Summer Surge is a summit geared to invigorate student organizations for the upcoming fall semester.  Summer Surge incorporates networking with other student leaders, collaboration among student organizations, and tools to revitalize groups on campus. Student groups of all sizes and purposes are invited to collaborate and develop innovative solutions to issues involving their organizations. The most valuable resource that Surge taps into is the shared experience of student leaders.  Surge combines the shared experiences and ideas of student leaders with valuable information and contacts within the university. This combination gives organization leaders a head start in the coming year in a number of aspects such as event planning, fundraising, promotion and advertising, and gives student leaders innovative ideas to bring new life into their organizations.
